Tu Tu Cute

Isn't she adorable? Isn't she lovely? Now, if Ms. Marissa would just be willing to share those smiles with me a little more freely. I've had a lot of little girls with lots of little curls lately....Marissa has the most beautiful hair I've ever seen. At 18 monhts it's already half-way down her back! Her mother and I have been good friends since high school, and Marissa is full of personality just like her mother.

Junkyard Senior

I love shooting in new and different locations, so I was happy that Brandon was wanting to do some junkyard shots. People might think, "WHAT is there to take pictures of in a junkyard!?" But I think all the colors and textures work great for seniors...especially guys!

Here's a few to share---

Aren't they angelic?

Meet Sam, Austin and lil' sis Mackenzie. Let me tell you- these three all had personality to spare- which always makes a session fun. We braved the wet and soggy outdoors and our shoes may never be the same. The bridge image has to be one of my favorites so far...the three liked to be together so well that I had to pull them apart to get some individual portraits, but isn't that sweet? Sam even found a tiny frog during our outing. Now wasn't that a treat? (for Sam, not necessarily the frog!)

RINGS

I had to post a image of the new rings. Aren't they cool!? I can't wait to get one for myself if I can get a good image of my own kids-the hardest task I have! Check out all the jewelry options in my Accessories Store on my shopping cart site.

NEW! Jewelry from Alison Stumpf Photography

I am very happy to introduce a new line of portrait jewelry products, including this lovely tile pendant with colored crystals, featuring your favorite image...or two! The portrait is not just glued on, but actually is part of the tile. Most products can be made double sided as well. I've searched for some time to find a product that is made well and something that will be worn and treasured. Customize it with your choice of colored crystals or silver beads. Add a chain or rope for a complete gift. If you're looking for a special holiday gift you might find it here. I will be adding a few more products to my assessories store in the next month or so, including lovely bracelets, pendants, and even portrait RINGS made from thid high quality .925 sterling silver and treated with an anti-tarnish coating to offer extra protection. I think they are super cool and classy! If you have questions, please feel free to contact me.

First One's a Charm

You might be suprised how often the very first 'snap' of the shutter captures the best, or one of the best images of the whole session. Well that might be the case with little Emily. I'm not done proofing all the images, but I think the very first one is a definite keeper! Just look at those eyes! What a cutie with such personality!

Something old, something new, something borrowed..something RED!

Meet Erin- one of my beautiful June brides. It was a pleasure shooting her and Dave's wedding. When I shoot a wedding in a new location, I'm never exactly sure what kind of shooting conditions we'll have or what sort of backgrounds I'll find to use...but when I saw this red painted wall in an adjoining alley...well, my heart went a little pitter pat! What I think make some of the best backgrounds are not always what other people would think are 'pretty', but Erin was a bride that was laid back and willing to try anything, so I hope she likes these as well as I do.

SMILE!

One of the things I want to be able to do with this space is be able to show sneak peaks into recent sessions.

As a mother myself..I understand wanting to capture one's child with a big beautiful smile on their face. In a weak moment I've even told my own kids those dreaded words that are sure to make a kid's smile look as unatural and goofy as possible..."SAY CHEESE!"

As a photographer though, some of my personal favorite images are the atypical..something different, or even a more somber gaze. Now, little Marena has a lot of images that show her sweet smile and big beautiful eyes...but I just get a kick out of these! After all, we all know our kids don't walk around with those angelic smiles all the time! A little silly at the beginning of the session...and a little sass at the end when she'd had enough of being a model!

Do I really need one more thing to do!?
That's the question that's been going through my head and keeping me from starting a blog for who knows how long now~ but, as you can see from reading this, I've decided to take the plunge and add one more thing to my list to keep up with.

I look forward to being able to post sneak previews into current sessions I've shot, sharing some of my own family events, as well as special offerings and new products from Alison Stumpf Phtoography. I have even got a few ideas for some fun contests for clients as well.

I'll begin with sharing a few images my nephew Riley took of my kiddos! I'm proud to say my little apprentice won Grand Champion and Reserve Champion at the Jackson County Fair. My favorite is the tinted lollipop image, and I've already got it handing on my wall in a 16 x 28 gallery wrap. I just love the way their noses are all squished together. I better look out...I think Riley maybe competition for his ole Auntie.
