Renae is one

I can't believe that Renae is one. When she was born (a tad early) she was the tiniest little doll--but she sure filled out and now look at her- sporting her spunky pony tail and all. That year certainly went fast (for me anyway!) I especially love the autumn colors of her fun sweater. What a sweet little personality comes through in her images.

Halloween Session

I just *LOVE* how his little toes are peeking through here!

Now is the perfect time to schedule a fall session to capture your cute little goblin!

Garrett makes the most adorable little giraffe and I love the punch of color the pumpkins add.

I always appreciate Garrett's parents making the drive from Mankato and I certainly look forward to seeing how much Garrett has changed..and how much longer his hair has gotten!

These are just a few I quickly edited of his Halloween outfit. (I just couldn't resist posting these) but I'll probably have a few more to share as I edit his session.

More wedding images

I am nearly done with editing Lindsey's and Brandon's wedding...here are few more of their special day. Despite the somewhat limiting conditions- (rain, braces, crutches, mud...) we captured some beautiful moments of their wedding day.

Kate's Outdoor Session

We waited a week and Kate had a fabulous day for her outdoor session portraits! The light was great and her clothing selections were great and since she already had her indoor session this was old hat for her. I found some spots that were funky and fun and we finished up at her family's farm.

Sometimes people ask me what spots I use for outdoor sessions. The answer is- I rarely have their spots predetermined before their shoot. I might have a few ideas in mind- but I like to consider their clothing choices, the lighting that day, their personality and likes, and other factors. Besides- I really make an effort not to have an assembly line process for portraits. Everyone wants their senior portraits to be unique and reflect them-and that's what I aim to do. For me- half the fun is doing something different!

If you haven't booked your session yet- please call soon. My calendar is filling up quickly, but I still have a few openings remaining. October looks to be a very busy month- so call or email today to get your session on the books! 507.662.5425

Rain on a wedding day

A forecast of rain is not typically what a bride wants to hear, but nothing fazed Lindsey. She told me she would be a laid back bride- and she was RIGHT! From drizzle to downpour... no problem! A groom with a leg brace and crutches? No worries! Lindsey took it all in stride and in the end result was a beautiful bride and a wonderful wedding- rain or no rain.

I'm just starting to edit these, but here are a few of the bride. I'll add more of the rest of the day in a few days.

Kate

It was hard to select just a few images from Kate's indoor session to post. I think you'll agree she's a athlete disquised as a model! While the weather caused us to have to postpone her outdoor session, we certainly got a lot of gorgeous indoor shots.

Ryan- Watch him grow...

It's always special when I get to see one of my little clients grow and change. I did Ryan's family portraits when he was just a month old I believe- and later did his 3, 6, 9 and most recently his one year portraits. He is a sweet little guy and I've enjoyed capturing his bright blue eyes as a baby to his sparkling personality of a one year old boy. These days certainly go by too quickly.

Here is a panel showing his changes from a itsy baby boy to an almost toddler- big boy.

Elise

Exhaustion is the word to describe Elise's session by the time we were done. Between the great outfits, ideas and cool locations we had to try- it was a long session (I got carried away) but I think we have some awesome images as a result. Here is a sneak peek at just a few of Elise's senior portraits.
