Maternity Leave No More~

Where did the time go? Has it really been nearly two months since my son was born? Apparently so as tomorrow is not only April Fool's Day but the end of my maternity leave. I start of the day with a couple of my favorite subjects, Gage and Stevie! I really appreciate the patience my clients have extended me, and the great thing is that I work with some really wonderful mothers who all have 'been there' and know how important it is to have that time to dedicate to baby. That being said, I'm anxious to get back in the studio and catch up!
If you contacted me while on leave about scheduling a session for your little one- please don't hesitate to contact me again if I've neglected to get back to you. My organizational and cognitive skills while on leave are still not fully up to par~ but I'm working on it. I'm in the process of learning how to type with one hand, edit with a baby asleep on my chest and you know I feel truly comfortable with you if you've received a cryptic email from me in the last two months that is pecked out with one hand and full of typos {ie, TY 4 ur order--i apprci8 ur bssness} How professional is that? I dont' know but for awhile I was operating on survival mode.

Winner~!

I am tickled to have one of my images chosen in a recent contest by photographer/designer Jessica Dittmer of "WISH YOU WELLS" fame. Applicants were asked to submit professional portraits that fit the vintage theme that WISH YOU WELLS is known for. The image I chose was one I shot a few summers ago of my children in a silly moment. The image will be used for promotion and display.
If you are not familiar with WISH YOU WELLS art work- it is known for its whimsical combination of real photographic art and fantasy elements that transform the image to a storyboook look. You can view some of the transformations and amazing art work at WISH YOU WELLS SITE.
I'm anxious to see what Jessica does with my image and am anxious to receive the image when she is done. I'll be sure to share the results.

If you think you maybe interested in a session utilizing this storybook look, let me know. I think it's such a fun concept to capture the magic of childhood in a totally different way!

First Day of Dance Pictures a Success

Thank you to those of you that brought in your dancers today for the mini-dance sessions. It felt great to get back in the groove and see the smiling faces and hear the tip tap of little tap shoes. It was a full day today- but I have a couple slots remaining for tomorrow's sessions, so if you know of someone who was hoping to get in, let them know it's not too late! I'll be posting a few sneak peaks on my blog in the next week. If you participated in the sessions today, become of fan of Alison Stumpf Photography on Facebook and get a free web image posted and tagged to you.
