Fall Family

I enjoyed the opportunity to photograph this family on their own turf last weekend. I was going to be in the area so I offered to come to their farm to do their session in place of the one we had scheduled previously for tonight. I am glad we did. It was fantastic fall weather and there is always something special about having a family portrait taken at your home. The rustic grainery had lovely colors and I just loved the white fence against the fall colors and corn ready to harvest. Little Noah wasn't as thrilled about the whole deal as I was, but you'd never know it looking at these.
Isn't it hard to believe Christmas will be here before you know it?

Must be fall

I know it must be fall- the first sure sign for me is when I start getting overwhelmed and so with the number of sessions edited behind I am- I can say fall is here! ;)

These little cuties are my- well, let's see, third cousins? Lauren looks just like Mommy and I see a lot of their Grandpa Place in little Joshua. Especially considering how tight he was with the big smiles. (True Place trait, huh?)

Just a reminder, the Holiday Family Mini-Sessions must be booked by October 14th. October is going to be an unusually short month as our studio will be closed Oct 21- Oct. 29th, so if you haven't booked your session yet- do so soon. November is already filling up as well.

Yes sir... fall is here!

Megan

It really seems like about 2 years since I did Megan's 8th grade graduation portraits, but I guess in reality it's been 4! Megan's dog Sandy came along for a few images and looks almost as cute as Megan. :) I had Megan sitting in the gutter and cruising through alleys, but I think the images were all worth it.

Congratulations, Lindsey

A little late- but just in time for Homecoming festivities tonight. Congratulations to Queen Linsdey and King Pat from Jackson County Central Royalty Court. Lindsey is the second JCC Queen two years running whom I've had the honor of doing senior portraits for!

Have a great time at reigning over the parade and football game tonight.

In the tub

I've been eyeing this prop for some time and finally bit the dust and bought it. I think it's going to be so fun for that 9-18 month old age group. And by the number of comments I've gotten on it already I think it's going to prove to be a popular request. Woudn't a tubbie portrait go great in your powder room, hallway or as a standout wall portrait right over the tub?

Ryan

Thank you, Ryan, for choosing Alison Stumpf Photography to do your senior portraits.

Ryan brought his Windom Eagles Hockey Jersey and his other interest items included playing guitar and a little golf. I love the images we created and particularly love the grunge guitar shot.

Here are just a few I grabbed from his session to put up for a sneak peek.

Kitty Cat Crazy

Elena loves kitties. Can't you tell? I think the cats loved her just as much.

We had a fantastic studio session and finished up with a few of Ms. E outside in all her glory- playing with the cats. A reward for all that hard serious modeling she did before-hand!
