Little tiny Nathan came to me when he was 8 days old. Mom and dad called from the hospital to set up his newborn session and I'm so glad they did. He is just so precious and I bet he's changed already since coming home- that's why newborn portraits are so important. I kick myself that I do have professional portraits of my children at this awe-inspiring age.

We're Back~
After what seemed like forever, I have my computer kinks worked out and I'm back online.
I appreciate your patience for those of you who are patiently awaiting your galleries and sneak peeks. I've been working diligently to try to get caught up- and here is one of the little cuties I'm editing now. Brayden has the brightest blue eyes and he is a beautiful baby boy!

Kelby's Creation
Kelby's mini-session was a joy. She was a little slow to warm up (so unlike Kelby!) but she soon turned on her smile and her charm and modeled her new hair do for me. I really enjoy photographing her and watching her change. I can still remember her 3 month portraits with all her beautiful dark hair!
Custom Creations
Here are a couple custom creation collages from a recent session with a handsome young man with a penchant for golf and his 2 year old sister who was a beauty, albeit, not so interested in having her portraits created that day. I think mom will be surprised what I captured though.

Brother Sister Team
Here is a brother sister team that kept me on the move! Ethan is just starting out his modeling career...ok, not really, but I think I see a future in modeling for him. It's a little rare to see a 4 year old so cooperative and he sure has the look of America's next top model. I could have taken his picture all day. I love the curly hair and the pensive looks. His sister is 7 months old and you know I love that age- but boy did she keep me on the move. Her big blue eyes and pretty blue dress were just perfect for the art blend I created.

Where does time go?
Taking children's portraits really does make time go fast. I remember when my daughter was a colicky infant and every time someone said, 'they grown up too fast" I wanted to strangle them. (not fast enough was all I could think). When I get the opportunity to do portraits for a family with young children, I really can remember can say that time flies...it seem like just a few months ago when Renae came to me as a TEENY tiny baby and now she is a very active 18 month old with a mind of her own! But despite her agenda, I think we captured some fantastic memories.
I think the close up art crop is becoming a signature of mine lately. I can't help it! I love the way the whole focus is on the eyes and it just shouts personality. And I really love that rarely any one is asking me if I meant to crop the top of their head off. (yes...I meant to do that!).
